Built over layers to resemble the local Khasi architecture Ri Kynjai sits on the beautiful East Khasi Hills, surrounded on all sides by the tranquil Lake Umian and about 20 km away from Shillong, Meghalaya. The Khasi name Ri Kynjai translates to 'a land of serene environs'.
